Rain-screen cladding
Inwood
have specialised in producing rain-screen cladding for sustainable construction
projects.
The natural durability of chestnut, combined with the stability of
defect-free finger-jointed laths, enables fine detailing to be undertaken.
Because of the natural tannins within the wood, chestnut cladding can be left
untreated, for a maintenance-free finish which, with time, weathers
naturally to a
silvery-grey patina.
Oil treatments are also possible, if the natural colour of the timber is the
desired finish.
