JOINERY AND FURNITURE
Laminated timber can be used with confidence in
joinery and furniture projects. The careful selection during
finger-jointing removes defects such as knots, grain slope and cracks which
would otherwise lead to distortion and waste.
For interior use the timber is kiln-dried, to a moisture content to
provide a very stable material in centrally-heated environments.
Care should be taken when specifying fixings as non-ferrous materials should always be used when in contact with oak or
chestnut.
