Timber Research
Services
Inwood
Developments have carried out pioneering research and development in strength testing
and accelerated weathering trials for the glue joints at Building Research
Establishment (BRE), Watford.
Inwood Director Nigel Braden was responsible for ensuring that sweet
chestnut was given a grading standard by Building Research Establishment and
which is now incorporated into a British Standard 5268:Part 2.
Inwood staff
are qualified timber graders, and Members of the Institute of Wood Science.
