About Us

InWood Developments Ltd was established in 1999 with a vision to create top quality engineered timber solutions for the UK construction industry. From the beginning InWood Developments ethos was to only use sustainable timber from well managed forests.

We commenced our own manufacturing processes in May 2001 pioneering the use of coppice grown Sweet Chestnut from known woodlands in South East England to ensure our products were made to the highest standards.

At the forefront of the UK’s timber engineering sector

Initially we produced virtually defect free Sweet Chestnut cladding in finger-jointed lengths of up to 6.1metres. Subsequently we developed a lamination capability and expanded production into Glulam beams straight and curved. We developed the necessary expertise to engineer a range of timbers such as Oak, Ash, Douglas Fir, Larch, and Corsican Pine in order to fulfil the requirements of a range of our customers. We now provide a comprehensive service to meet an ever-widening range of enquiries for bespoke developments both in the structural and joinery sectors.

Today InWood Developments is proud to be at the forefront of the UK’s timber engineering sector, and is still providing solutions to our customers within the space that nearly three decades later maintains our heritage ideals of quality, functionality and sustainability.

Sweet Chestnut products are still close to our heart but we are able to offer a wide range of timber species to best suit a clients needs and budget. We are especially excited to have upgraded our lamination line to enable us to work with a variety of modern and thermally modified timbers.
